Gallery 2-Q showcase some of my favorite pictures from this year. This collection of pictures were taken in late July near Boswell B.C. My family and I like to spend some of our summer holidays in a small campground about 30kms from Nelson B.C. www.bayshoreresort.ca Our campsite is settled near a small creek that fills the area with the sounds of water, smell of the woods, and calming atmosphere for a long sound sleep. Near the entrance of the campground we found a trail into the woods and up the mountain. My children lead my wife, sister and brother in-law on a hike through up the trail. At times it was hard to keep up and I had to keep convincing myself that I really did need the exercise, the pay off of the above picture alone made it all worth while. This photo had only been released as a Dead Beat print for a few weeks now, but has quickly become one that many of you have talked about. (Keep sending your comments!) It will not take long for this print to become a best seller. For me though, I will keep enjoying the picture I have of my daughter in front of this waterfall. Gallery 2-O Session 01/09/2010
My families summer vacation this year created a beautiful back drop to relax, play and of course take some pictures. Gallery 2-O is a small snap shot of the vineyards and views that surrounded our cabin get away. Our cabin was surrounded by 3 vineyards and the lake. Famly time in the lake and my passion for Canadian wines were well represented. We managed to tracked down the winery that the vineyards producing grapes for and had a chance to enjoy their company and taste their wines. www.deserthills.ca Try their Mirage blend if you like reds. The way the vines grow and tangle with each other is beautiful and natural. The vines are working togther to help support each other as they grow towards the sun. My pictures also show that a grapes life can be less than perfect, there is some naturally beauty in that. Two NEW Books! 11/16/2009

I have been coming out of my comfort zone lately and began to explore the world of portrait photography. As you can see in the above pictures I can't completely walk away from having a landscape element in my photos. In reaIity it gives these portrait photos a little more life or feeling. You can almost smell the fall air when enjoying these pictures. I have completed a few sessions with friends and family to practice my skills, they can be more forgiving. I have really enjoyed the experience and look forward to continue honing this skill.
